One of the signature signals of winter and the holiday season is the Munich Christmas Markets (Christkindlmarkt) that begin to pop up all around the city in late November. From mulled wine and music, to stocking stuffers and intricate gifts, you’ll find a world of treats displayed within the stalls of each one.
Como! I heard about this city my entire life, and now I live just 30 km away. Since moving to Lugano, I have already been there four times. Each time, I’ve driven over from my new home to spend a couple of hours strolling around and indulging in the exquisite food and scenery in Como, Italy.
The Kurhaus Cademario Hotel & Spa has always been a destination for wellness. The panoramic Lake Lugano views from its altitude of more than 850 meters above the sea-level are unmatched. (Seriously, it is the highest wellness hotel in all of Ticino!) You will not be able to take your eyes off those views (nor will you want to), as you can see them from almost every angle throughout this 82-room property.

I know I may say this often, but I always mean it. If you haven’t visited The Marches in Italy, it’s definitely a trip worth planning. The stunning landscapes, exquisite cuisine, and rich history are guaranteed to take your breath away.
Sofia, is a city I’ve had the privilege of visiting quite often. Though my trips there may initially fall into the couples travel category, I end up really feeling like a solo traveler. It’s allowed me to really get to know beautiful Sofia, and I hope you too will be using this solo travel guide to Sofia!
In 2018, Monocle named Munich the world’s most liveable city. The cosmopolitan city has plenty of parks and lush green gardens, a river clean enough to swim in, and a variety of authentic neighbourhoods to explore. The number of delicious restaurants and lively bars seems virtually endless. Munich is not only a fantastic city to visit, but it’s also one of the best places in the world to live.
